The company KAŠTIJUN LLC for waste management was formed with the Articles of Association of the Limited Liability Company, signed on January 31, 2007.
The company's founders are the City of Pula, with 51% shareholding and Istrian County with 49% shareholding.
The purpose of establishing a Company was to create a uniform Istrian County waste management system, all in compliance with EU guidelines and directives, the Waste Management Strategy of the Republic of Croatia, the Physical plan of the Istrian County, and waste management plans.
KAŠTIJUN LLC, as the county Waste Management Center operator, forms a fundamental element of the modern integrated waste management system in Istrian County. It provides continuous and comprehensive support to all of the Istrian county municipal waste collectors and treats and separates the remaining useful fractions efficiently.
It uses modern solutions in business and production processes, enabling management according to high environmental preservation standards, work safety and energy efficiency, and quality management.
